Most of my work is created on square canvases. Hinterland is an exception to the rule! When wanting to paint a landscape of our beautiful lush hinterland of Noosa, it just felt right that it needed to be on a landscape oriented canvas. The colours, contours, intensities and fade-outs just came together for me with this painting and it remains one of my favourites and close to my heart.
