Janey Richards was born in Sydney and lived and worked there until moving to Queensland in 1997.
Janey has been exhibiting in group and collaborative exhibitions since moving to the Noosa hinterland in 2010. Her first solo exhibition "Freedom of Expression" was held at the Pomona Railway Station Gallery in 2017 and was a milestone in Janey's artistic development.
Janey is a naturally structured and highly organised person, so in her creative pursuits she strives to go with the flow, to develop and enhance movement and extend boundaries. She is really enjoying her current thinking of “no rules, see where the artwork takes you” approach as she applies acrylic paint and/or ink to canvas!
